2.7m railway sleepers are very good for table tops and longer bars, also great for lintels for that warm wood feeling in a home.

Long railway sleepers are the sleepers used at junctions, stations and on soft ground where a wider load spread is needed. They are very uncommon and highly sought after.

All railway sleepers were cut using Imperial Measurement, the standard length of railway sleeper was 7 foot(2100mm) they went up in foot measurements ie. the next size is 2.4m and then 2.7m and so on and so on up a maximum length of 6m.
